Can an Itchy Nipple be related to breast cancer?

I have had a really itchy nipple for the past few days and I found a small pimple size lump on my aureole - Could this be cancer - or am I being hysterical?

I could be an infection in a milk gland, or a cyst, or any manner of other unpleasant things. It is best to have it checked. Some things don't go away without medication. Better safe than sorry.

My right nipple is so soar, It itches a lot.
It started a few months ago, but only now I realized that it isn't normal to itch so much and it is always on the same spot it feels like the itch is from the inside out.
Tonight is the first time I realized I need to check it, my husband is a doctor but I don't want him to know, so I guess I will find out as soon as I get an appointment with my doc.

Definitely an infection. I suggest to take it to a specialist for a more accurate diagnose.
