In which breast did your cancer first appear, & in what part of the breast?
For me, my left breast.
The first lump (cancer) was in the two o'clock position, right in front of the armpit, & just under the skin. It never grew.
The second lump (cancer) was caused by injury, so it probably doesn't count. It was also just under the skin, but it grew rapidly.
[Most of the fibro- & cysts (benign, not cancerous) usually formed deep inside the breasts.]
Did your cancerous lumps form just under the skin, or deeper?

PS It would be interesting to know, if more cancers form in the left breast first, & why.
I remember my left breast ...
When my great-grandfather lost his arm in a cotton-gin, they buried it in the cemetery & put up a marker.
When we lose our breast, it's just gone. There's a lack of ceremony or closure to it somehow.

Speaking of which breast, a friend of my family who is an oncologist, but not my oncologist, said odds are better if the right breast is affected.
But I don't think all the left-breast people should get worried--it was quite a small statistical difference.

I think that I read in Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book that a greater % of breast cancers occur in the right breast.
There doesn't seem to be any particular reason for that.
Mine was up front to the interior side of the aureola on the right breast which isn't a good place for a lumpectomy.
