I had an ultrasound guided core biopsy this morning but the doctor only took one sample. She said that the mass got smaller when she took the sample. Why would she only take one sample when the norm is 3 to 6 samples?

PERHAPS - one suggestion: If it was fluid and not a tumor it would get smaller, but if it was a tumor it would stay the same size.

When are you supposed to get the results back? Let us know what they are.
