I felt a lump in my breast and was sent to a mammogram. now the dr wants to do a biopsy, and I want to know if there is any way, tactiley, to tell the difference?

Still healthy, The first thing that popped into my mind was this : Say you have a glass of liquid. You don't know if it's OK to drink - or could be poison (cancer). Can you tell just by looking (feeling)? Or, for your own protection, would you want it tested?
You are talking of feeling something on a cellular level. Cells are SMALL. I don't think that anyone can feel the difference between a regular cell, and a cancerous cell from the outside. It only take's one cancer cell to divide and spread. Catching it early, offers the best prognosis.
