Hi! First I want to say that this is the best blog I've found for breast cancer, so THANK YOU!!!

My question is about after tamoxifen. I'm 38 years old and will be finishing my tamoxifen in 6 months. Aside from hot flashes and my period returning, can anyone tell me what else to expect? I had some bone density loss and am wondering if it will return naturally or do I need to take something for it? I also have problems with vaginal dryness, one again, will things go back to normal?

Also, I have gained weight and lost a lot of muscle mass. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get started exercising and maintaining a proper diet? Maybe a book that could help me or just some general ideas?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi bethabout, I am glad you enjoy the list, I add 2 others one was yours, Thankyou that will make someones day.
After I was done with tamoxifen, My bones hurt more, I also put on weight(I have lymphedema from the all the lymh nodes they checked, Not all people get this.) I know there is dryness and other little things. I go over to the PTherapy place and pay alittle each month to work out. I would check to see if you need a water pills. I know you can do it, You have a very go get them talking. Good luck and now that you are a winner!
Hang in there, Debbie
