Hi everyone, I have to have a biopsy on my lung on Tuesday. CT Sans and Bone Scans show that the cancer hasn't spread any place else. The reason for the biopsy is to be sure that it is breast cancer mets and not a whole new cancer. My doctor told me that the procedure will be done during a CT Scan and I will have to be awake. I am very claustrophobic to begin with and I can hardly get through the regular scans. When I had my Bone Scan the other day, I took two Valium and I still had to have the technician stop the scan and let me sit up for a little while before continuing it. I am a nervous wreck about this whole procedure. Has anyone had this done?

Ask a bout the possibillity of conscious sedation. With that, you are awake enough to respond to simple commands but are very relaxed and usually have no memory afterward. It might be feasible.
