Gloria's latest CT scan shows a metastasis to one of her lungs. This is uncharted territory for us. Any speculation on treatment options? (The CT report was very bad; about all we know is that the met is on the "outer" part of a lung. Don't even know which. Her oncologist will look at the films and figure it out.) Thanks. - Tony

It's possible to have good quality of life with lung mets. My wife
Deborah and I have been fooling around with lung mets for four and a half years with good-to-excellent quality of life. Herceptin put her in remission for more than two years and we're back in the fight now, but lung mets aren't an immediate death sentence.

If I can be of any assistance at all, please don't hesitate to holler.

cheers

So very sorry to hear that. My understanding is that if there is only a single metastasis that sometimes surgery is done with supposedly a better prognosis.
Here is a web address e.medicine. You might have to sign up to get it. If you are having difficulty, let me know and perhaps I can email it to you, if of interest. I do have other saved articles I will email, but if you want this and are having difficulty--let me know for sure. Take care and my best thoughts and prayers are with you both {{{Hugs}}}
