Merry christmas to you all,
I have just had a bilateral mas, with right side lymph node clearance done a month or 2 ago with a lumpectomy.
If there is any cancer present in the left breast, will I have to have a third op to remove lymph nodes on left side??
I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait for path results!!
Thankyou, Paula from Down Under!

Could you ask the surgeon ? I would assume that he would have taken the nodes out if he suspected disease ( IE enlarged nodes).
It depends upon the pathology....if this is a new cancer unrelated to the first cancer having the nodes out could effect treatment. If needed could you have a sentinel node biopsy. Wishing you the best results, Alex
