I bought a bracelet to wear on my right arm, but it has broken so many times
I'm not wearing it any longer. I am trying my best to lead an incredibly active rest of my life and don't want to stop to 'warn' everyone I meet about the possibilities of my arm blowing up. I also wear contacts and am allergic to all cillins...that might be a nice thing to add to the bracelet?
Does anyone know where a really good (but not really expensive) bracelet can be purchased? I bought my first one out of a wig and hat catalogue given to me by my onc. It was about $20.00 and ....well, cheaply made. I would like one with the breast cancer ribbon on it, as well as the medic alert. I'm sure I'm asking too much, but just thought I would ask. I've looked on the internet but haven't found one I like.
Thank you for any help you might be able to give!

The whole art of war consists in a well-reasoned and extremely circumspect defensive, followed by rapid and audacious attack.

I purchased my metal bracelet from the National Lymphedema Society
1-800-541-3259. It was $15.00, they took a credit card over phone and
I got it in 2 days. It has the red Medic Alert sign on it and other needed info to keep others from using the arm you wear it on. I hate having to wear it all the time but I do feel safer with it on since most medical people usually try to go for my right arm first. They stop now when they see the bracelet.
Another concern is that if I were ever in an accident or had to call 911 and was unconscious, without the bracelet, there would be nothing to protect me from anyone using my affected arm for blood pressures and other tests. I think the bracelets serve an important purpose for us.
