name is linda bliis and for those of you who dont remember me (who could forget me???!!) here goes: found lump left breast september 99 and went right for a biopsy and it was confirmed what i had suspected:
malignant. Lumpectomy oct 99: 2.9cm; stage 2B; grade3; clear margins.
lymph nodes taken nov 99 29 taken and 2 were+.. ER and PR were+ and
HER2-. 4 cycles of A/C and 33 rads all ended may 2000.

now i WAS supposed to take tamoxifen but chose not too..stupid me. all normal oncology visits post treatment and all ca 27-29 blood work
WAS normal up until auguat 2003 when markers shot up to 100. AGGGHHH.
oncologist sent me for cat scans and pet scans and they came back with multiple lesions on chest wall..lungs clear. august 2003 i started on
Arimidex and had terrible side effects. but i stayed on that til
November and markers fluctuated from 100 to 130. onc changed me in november 2003 to Femara and this seems to agree with me. only prob is i have lost 15 needed pounds due to meds giving me lack of appetite.

so..visit today i had more blood work for the markers and CBC counts.
cbc was normal. This is onc thought..if tumor markers are still elevated when results are back i have 2 options:

1. continue femara and get injections of Faslodex

2. Xeloda. but this i am told is 8 pills 3x day.

he is opting for the injections which i have no problem with.

ok..so i have mets to the chest wall from breast cancer and the last pet scan in november showed no new growths. also had mediastinal biopsy in October 2003 which showed 1 positive for malignant, the other negative. and the ER and PR.
are still+.

i swear i typed this all last nite and i didnt see it posted so here i sit again.

i love all of you guys

any thoughts anyone had injections of Faslodex

TIM???LISA??? anyone??

I don't think Tim has had Faslodex, Linda

Hang in there - Faslodex is an aromatase inhibitor. In that respect it's kinda like Arimidex but works in a different way. You may not have as much trouble with Faslodex as you did with Arimidex.
