I had a lumpectomy, Nov. 1, then 4 AC treatments, the 30 rads. I finished all that on May 12. My breast is very sore internally on the side opposite the cancer site. There is also a tender spot near a rib closer to where the incision was. My nipple is extremely tender and sore. The skin has healed from the radiation treatment. Incidentally, some of the soreness was there prior to cancer being discovered. Is this normal? Should I be screaming for help at the breast center? Anyone with similar experience?

Jackie, I dunno. It seems like each has such different experiences. I had alot of pain in my breast 10 days before my nipple began to sink. I had a mastectomy and pretty much all has been okay. Periodically, I do get pain in the area near where the tumor was--yesterday and today for a little while. My thoughts--if you are feeling uneasy about it check it out and even go for a second (or third) opinion. My best thoughts are with you and hope it is nothing of concern.
