scared of pain

I had bc in 1997 and now it has come back in pelvis, spine, ribs and skull. Everytime somewhere new hurts I get scared. I understand this is the most painful of all cancers. I ask my Dr how long I have but he only say He doesn't know. Does anyone have any info.

Dear Friend, Take a deep breath and know your not alone. I would talk to some of the nurses and tell them you want to know more, I was told I have stage 3 breast cancer and went in for high chemo and she never told me. So I told myself I can win! I know its hard, But please tell the nurses about you pain and anything you want. Thats how I work around my cancer Dr. Please try and keep good thoughts and a pain journal to show them. Another thing you can do is call cancer info 1 800 255 5505 and tell them what you are fighting with and they can send you info on getting you help, chores, store, housework, etc. There are other cancer help places, If you have trouble walking the scooter store will help you and then you wont be so tried, Hope this helps alittle.
