Mine was normal, mine turned out to be a rib protrusion. I have no idea how though. You need to go to a doctor to see whether it's normal or not, I wouldn't leave it without seeing a professional. (I'm almost 22, but I've had this lump since last summer).

Yes i have been dealing with pretty severe shortness of breath for a couple of years, also have had a pain in throat/chest that is hard to explain during this time. I was diagnosed with asthma at age 35 (1 year ago) but have doubted the diagnosis for some reason and meds have not improved my shortness of breath. It has been pretty debilitating. Today I found a lump like tumor that is just below my collar bone on my right side. Please share something someone, I'm really scared

I had the same thing in my right chest below the collarbone above the breast lump that fell hard the doctors went in with a needle and took out a bunch of blood it was a blood pocket they did a second one because there was still some left and now it's coming back I'm not sure if I'm bleeding internally but all tests came back no cancer

Sounds just like what I found 2 weeks & 2 days ago.
Freaked out 'cos 4 years ago I found an identical lump 2cm below this one & it turned out to be invasive, grade 3 (most abnormal cell grade), stage 1 (under 2cm) breast cancer.
Saw the surgeon today at the local breast clinic & he took 2 needle biopsy samples & I will have results on Fri between 5 & 6pm.
He said it was more evenly shaped than the last one, but still something he'd never seen before, straight above the rib, but not attached to anything (btw the last one wasn't attached to anything & it was also tender as heck)
Will let you know what result I get on Fri if you like, but I'd be making an appointment with a GP & insisting on a breast clinic appointment via them asap

Get an ultrasound - don't think an x-ray shows up anything, which is why you usually have a mammogram if the bump fits in the machine, or an ultrasound if it doesn't.
They will often do a needle biopsy if they aren't sure about it - but that happens at a breast clinic, not at the GP.

So, my lump turned out to be Grade 2, Invasive, Stage 1, Primary breast cancer! Triple negative. Node under the rib is swollen, so just had my 5th dose of chemo - GemCarbo. With GemCarbo you have 1st week GC, 2nd week Gem, 3rd week a break, & then you start the whole fun thing all over again. Having a hard time getting my white blood cell count or neutrils up to a decent level & only just managed to have the last 3 treatments. 7 to go - eek - & by Thur I should be as sick as a dog, then the Gem gives me migraine level headaches, so not a picnic at all...

Oh Mandy, I'm so sorry. I had xray done and came back as nothing. However the bump is there. Above left breast. Left breast bigger, more muscle tissue, I'm left handed, right breast droopy. It's driving me crazy. I am making appointment to see doctor today for MRI. I will follow up once I hear.

All the best with that - so very glad to hear yours has come back as nothing to worry about. Can only wish that for everyone who finds a lump. This has killed my beautiful new relationship, but we are staying friends & he has been a real rock, looking after me during & after the treatments, so though I'm heartbroken, I still have him in my life. Guess at 58 he should know what he wants in life, so no point trying to change his mind.
Anyway, enough of my sob-story, & so very chuffed with your negative result, but hope you get some resolution with the rest of your issues there.

Hey everyone. I’ve had this since I was 15. It’s like gumball size and feels circular and hard. Does not move. On my right side, right below my collar bone. I went to the doctor back then and got an ultra sound. I got a call back and I remember the doctor saying it’s nothing to worry about but to call back if I want to know what it is. Unfortunately at the time I was only 15 and heard the words “it’s nothing to worry about” so I didn’t care after that. I’m 26 now and still have it. Hasn’t grown. It never hurts but I would say it gets “irritated” when I work out my upper body or am on my period. Aka it gets sore when my breast tissue does. I will probably get it looked at again soon so when I find out what it is exactly I’ll let you guys know. But I get annuals every year and have had multiple doctors (because I move a lot) I show it to each one and they all say it’s nothing to worry about. Sometimes I wonder if it has something to do with my abnormal amount of hormones. Before I was on BC, when I was younger I was very active. Played all kinds of sports. Also had crazy hormones and crazy periods so I’ve read that it can cause calcium deposits or build up of breast tissue. I’ll get it looked at again so I know for sure.

I have recently noticed the same thing with myself and making an appointment with my Dr. The only thing different with myself is that I was diagnosed with Breast cancer at the end of 2007 and had chemo and bilateral mastectomy and have been cancer free but this now does concern me as well. Hope all of your Drs. Appointments turn out to be good ones
